Spain has the chance to become the first team to win three major international football competitions in a row. No other nation has even come near this record in the past half a decade. This record justifies the dominance Spain has enjoyed in the past six years of international football.
Spain’s fight to become the top team in the world came with many sacrifices and hundreds of hours of hard work. Therefore, La Furia Roja deserves to write their name in the history books as one of the most revered teams in the history of football.
Spain’s right back Sergio Ramos reckons winning the historic treble would resemble “icing on the cake”. The Real Madrid player came out to talk to media in a press conference before tonight’s Euro 2012 final against Italy.
