AUTUMN CRAFT

Melted Crayons-Fall Leaves

Melted Crayons-Leaf Rubbings: Coloring the FALL!!

PHASE 1 – Make Marvelous Melted Crayons

  1. Remove labels from crayon colors of choice.
  2. Break into pieces small enough to fit into a silicone ice cube or candy tray. I picked mine up at the dollar bin at Target. Keep in mind, don’t plan on using it for baking again.
  3. Place in a preheated oven at 350 degrees, and melt for about 10 minutes.
  4. Pull out and let cool completely. You can place in a refrigerator to speed up the process.
  5. Pop out each new marvelously melted shaped crayon
(Colocar las ceras, en una bandeja de silicona, mezclando distintos colores en cada separador,y derretirlas en  el horno durante 10 minutos, después dejar enfriar y...¡ya tenemos nuevas ceras de colores!)

PHASE 2 – Fabulous Fall Leaf Rubbings

  1. Put on your walking shoes and go for a nature walk to collect beautifully colored and shaped fall leaves.
  2. Grap some paper and place over leaves. (I also used a stack of paper under leaves as a smooth surface.)
  3. With your new melted crayons, rub on top of the paper and see what beautiful textures you will get from your leaves. Keep trying various leaves, and different colors to see what you can create!
