Second Level: Finish Mozart....that´s all folks! or not??...XD

With the last class, the last week we  just finished Mozart.


During these weeks we had seen, many things about his life and the most important, his music.


We learned what is an Opera, through "The Magic Flute." We have known that was, what characters appeared. We had danced and imitated the Papageno. Also through this opera we saw, heard and learned the types of voices that exist (children, female (soprano, alto), male (tenor, bass)) and which characters are represented with one or other voice.

The protagonists of the musical instruments are Magic Flute  and a Pan Pipe (also called sikus) so we've delved into second level with the wind-instruments. We have seen that there are two classes, which differ by the "nozzle". The instruments have a metal hollow metal tip, where the musician produces vibrations with their lips before it enters the nozzle, but the woodwinds, have a tab, and the vibrations occur within the instrument. (To learn more about woodwinds-metal click http://thales.cica.es/rd/Recursos/rd99/ed99-0248-01/viento.html Spanish Web, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wind_instrument English Web)

Besides Mozart, We had continued to discover more things in our musical world. We learned a new rhythmic figure, the half, we have recognized and practiced with body percussion, and a new meter or time, ternary, which we discovered it through our bodies dancing to waltz.

As in the first level, in the second level we had seen the different elements of the song, creating rhythms, melodies and lyrics.

Con la última clase la semana pasada acabamos de ver a Mozart.


Durante estas semanas hemos visto, muchas cosas acerca de su vida y lo más importante, de su música. 


Sabemos lo que es una Ópera, a través de "La Flauta Mágica".  Hemos conocido de que trataba, qué personajes aparecían. Hemos bailado e imitado al Papageno. También a través de esta ópera pudimos ver, escuchar y aprender los tipos de voces que existen (niños, mujer (soprano, contralto), hombre (tenor, bajo)) y qué personajes se representaban con una u otra voz. 





Los instrumentos musicales protagonistas de la Flauta Mágica son la Flauta travesera y una Flauta de pan (también llamada sikus) por lo que hemos profundizado en segundo  con los instrumentos de viento. Hemos visto que hay dos clases, y que se diferencian por la "boquilla". Los instrumentos de metal tienen una boquilla hueca de metal, donde  el músico produce vibraciones con sus labios antes de que este entre por la boquilla, sin embargo los de madera, tienen una lengüeta de madera, y las vibraciones se producen dentro del instrumento. Además de Mozart, continuamos descubriendo más cosas en nuestro mundo musical. Hemos aprendido una nueva figura rítmica, la blanca, la hemos reconocido y practicado con percusión corporal, y un nuevo compás, el ternario, que hemos descubierto a través de nuestro cuerpo bailando al ritmo de vals.

Al igual que en primero hemos visto los diferentes elementos de la canción, creando ritmos, melodías y letras en los dos cursos de Segundo.




Y para que no se nos haga larga la espera hasta mañana, a los padres que no puedan dormir esta noche y los que lean esta entrada en los días posteriores...el próximo compositor será......
