First Level: Tchaicovsky´s Summary....and the new work will be....

We reached the end of the unit.

During this month we had gone into Tchaicovsky and deeply into The Nutcracker´s Suite. We had learned his story, we could discovered the Ballet in the classroom, we had danced and laughed with the China´s Dance and above all we had fun and relaxed with his works (The Swan Lake and The Sleeping Beauty).

Ever since we started this term, we had seen and listened a new instrument-family; Wind´s family

Also we had learned a new rhythm of the white little stars that belong to the semiquavers.

We had sung and danced different songs. And singing and dividing the song in parts, we had learned that a song are many things. For singing you have to breathe, you have to relax. That a song is music and lyric. That a song has got four very important elements. That without lyrics, rhythm, melody and harmony, a song is not a song. Lyrics are words, Rhythm is the emphasis we put on those words, Melody are musical notes and qualities of the sound (pitch, duration, intensity and timbre) that we are learning, Harmony is the mix of many melodies to make the song beautiful. And with all of this we had make the most complicated of all, create music as of different musical elements.

And in this stretch there are still things to see, feel, listen and learn, we still have things to remember, we have to dive into the world of a new composer, meet a new family, practice, and dance and sing .... above all to listen, practice, experiment with music, that's what is created, to be enjoyed.

Tchaikovsky said if it were not for the music, we would have more reason to go crazy, and without entering into debate whether or not right now.....
I give a new reason to keep us all, parents, children and teachers, delighting it.
